O’s Grill is the embodiment of the American Dream. Our journey began in 2006, when our founder, Otmane Benjilany, arrived in the United States from Morocco with hopes for a better future. Without speaking English and working full-time in a manufacturing job, Otmane started a small hot dog cart on the weekends in downtown Cedar Rapids. But he wasnโ€™t just serving hot dogs; he introduced the community to the bold, authentic flavors of Morocco with gyros and shish kabobs.

In 2015, driven by passion and a vision, Otmane made a brave decision. He left the stability of his job to chase his dream full-time by starting a food trailer. With hard work and resilience, he built a loyal following, offering fresh, flavorful Mediterranean dishes to the people of Cedar Rapids. Even during the uncertainty of 2021, amidst a global pandemic, Otmane took another leap opening O’s Grill as a brick-and-mortar restaurant.

Today, O’s Grill stands as a testament to the power of perseverance and the promise of opportunity. Weโ€™ve been proudly serving the Cedar Rapids community for over 15 years, and now, you can bring the taste of Oโ€™s Grill home with our signature products: Famous hummus, white gold sauce and pita chips available at local Hy-Vee and New Pioneer Co-op.

O’s Grill is more than a restaurant, itโ€™s a story of dreams realized, one plate at a time.

I have been to O's Grill a few times. Never had a bad meal there, its cheap & always leaving the place with a full belly. The Gyros & rice is what I order every time. Best Gyro in the Cedar Rapids area IMO

Literally the best gyro Iโ€™ve had in my whole life. I will come back just for thatโ€”but the falafel and rice were amazing too! The service was really top notch too, you can tell they really care about your experience at their restaurant.

This is a Mediterranean menu and specifically Moroccan inspired restaurant. The gyros are great, but the platters are the best way to enjoy this. The chicken shawarma is good on its own and better with the sauces. No need to add the fries. The Mediterranean rice is nicely favored with saffron. The Baklava is good and has a nice chew. The Falafel is really great and the sauce is perfectly paired. Get an order of Falafel with your meal.

I tried the O chicken platter with hummus and falafel for my side. Everything was delicious and I had leftovers because the platter is large! My husband got the gyro platter with the rice and hummus for his sides and it was huge and delicious as well. Go check them out! They even have hummus and the O sauce that you can purchase to use at home.

WOW! The best Gyroโ€™s my wife and I have ever had. The meat with so much flavor, the sauce and veggies make for the perfect gyro. Clean, comfortable dining room. Then the owner, Otmane Benjilany welcomes everyone with a big bright smile! So welcoming. If you want to eat at a restaurant and feel welcomed try the Gyros at Oโ€™s Grill.
