Pan Hookah Lounge

Really good hookah lounge. They have shishabucks hookahs which are one of the best hookahs right now. They make good mixes especially if you're fan of Paan flavors, it's a must visit. Ambience is top notch. Really good experience compared to any hookah bar in San Jose.

I started going here over the pandemic and stopped a while ago as it never felt right after a couple of incidents my friends and I encountered with the owner, his brother, and the partner. The owner during an event offered us alcohol as a way to get us to stay and smoke and enjoy the evening, and we didn’t mind since they offered it to others as well. As we were about to leave, they asked us to stay a little longer (past closing). We didn’t think much of it since we considered the owner and partner nice people but the incident after altered that perception. The owner (also to note is married with children) asked me to come to the back of the lounge where they made hookah. He played some music and asked me to dance with him. I felt absolutely uncomfortable and told him I have work and need to leave. He proceeded to ask me to stay and started to grab me and lean in towards me. I quickly backed off and mentioned I need to go. Turns out the partner was behaving the same with my friend and I grabbed her and we left and didn’t return months after the partner apologized for the brothers behavior and disrespect. I had stopped, however a year or so down the line, the owners brother invited my friend to sit with him- she knew I wasn’t communicating with him but not all the details regarding why. She joined him and kept little communication with him (note: she was in her early 40s and knew at once I considered the brother a friend). He mentioned to her he wanted to do drugs and proceeded to do so. He then (under the influence) proceeded to grab her inappropriately from the behind, make weird gestures, and make moves on her when she was visibly uncomfortable. The footage was caught on camera but later deleted when the owner found out the incident was reported to the cops. When confronted, he deflected and blamed the women in anger. We later discovered others had experienced this behavior as well. In front of everyone he would appear as the nice guy like he never did anything wrong - ex. Saying women are to pleasure men only. These type of Muslim men are abusive behind doors and disrespectful because they have no self identity besides being outwardly religious and sinners mentally and in their hearts; Act “nice” and like victims so people don’t see who they truly are. It’s horrendous and scary. I pray one day such people are exposed.

The guy wasn’t polite and he wanted to charge $10 per person for non smokers individuals. The kitchen was closed without announcement and we drove to the location for 20 minutes to experience such a poor customer service. Not recommending this place at all!

The lounge is good but the couch are little tore and feels little uncomfortable while seating … the ambience can be better

Great place to come smoke and chill. They are open until 3am on the weekends so thats great! Plus its a super convenient location right off the freeway. The owner and his brother are super chill down to earth guys I will definitely be going back every time I’m in the city!!
