4 months agoYum We were in the area and looking for something good to eat. Google maps said that, swarma corner was near. We found it inside the Papaya fresh international marketplace. My husband ordered a wrap with chicken and no tomato for me and a beef wrap for himself. We wondered around the store and found some awesome things we can't wait to try. We got our food and it was so awesome! Yummy! My chicken wrap was perfect. Full of meat from the first bite. The sauce is delicious. Yum I had a few bites of my hubs and mine was better. We highly recommend this awesome place and the awesome people that work there.

2 weeks agoWe love this place. Itโs amazing our only issue with this place. They never open on time on the store front door they display that they open at 8 AM. Also on Google, It says they open at 8 AM. I got there today at 8:30 and they were still closed, they opened at 8:50. They definitely need to work on their hours or at least change their opening hour to 9 AM. But I did get lucky the bread was fresh and hot.

6 months agoFood was great!!!! Try their lamb Gyro! Itโs pretty good. Only thing is itโs not quite like a New York or Seattle. Not enough white sauce. All in all, Iโll be back.

a month agoMy family and friends used to spend a lot of money doing most of our groceries shopping at Papaya store, but no more. We will never set foot back in this horrible place. Papayaโs owner/manager is the rudest person I have ever encountered, he is always so loud, so sour and so angry for no reason and it seems his job is to make sure the store loses its customers and it is working because compared to two years ago they have lost a large number of their customers because of the following: 1) Low quality products instead of high quality ones they used to sell. For example, they now are selling fake rice made of plastic instead of basmati rice and when I brought it up to their attention and told them that I tested that particular rice and it burnt with a plastic smell, they just dismissed it saying it is impossible. 2) They sell expired food. I had told the staff that they shouldnโt place expired packagings and food on their shelves, but they dismissed it, referring me to their manager/owner. The angry manager said, โsome people donโt mind buying expired food because itโs still good, and these expiry dates donโt mean anything.โ 3) The packaged Bulgarian and Feta cheese are moldy inside and you canโt see it until you open it and the manager/owner doesnโt take it back for a refund even within a few hours of purchase and with a receipt. 4) Since they have lost so many customers, their fruits, vegetables and meat are not selling as well as before so all is moldy, dry, old, and unsafe for consumption. 5) Higher prices that are raised on a daily or weekly basis. They have a sign on their door that they cannot raise the prices legally more than 10%. I have no idea why such a sign should ever be posted when they donโt abide by it. We went to buy some goat leg meat last week and the price was $10.99 per pound. This week, we went back, and asked whether they had any in stock because they didnโt have any on their fridge display at the butcher shop area, the manager/owner who is always rude and angry said in a humiliating tone, โWhat is goat leg?โ And after we repeated ourselves and explained to him, he said,โ$11.99 per pound.โ We told him we purchased it last week for $10.99 per pound. He said, โgo back to where you got it!โ When we said we bought it at their store, he said, โWell, today itโs $11.99 per pound, not happy? Go away!โ So without saying anything we left the store and left our full cart behind and we will never set foot in that store again. In a way, this encounter prompted my family to find a much better butcher shop nearby that has the best customer service ever and has the freshest meat in town, and best of all itโs all kosher and halal too. The blessings of a successful business depends on knowing how to treat the customers. Papaya is not a customer oriented shop and thatโs why they are losing all their customers.
