Ramy Shabana is the Director of Grantsย at the El-Hibri Foundation (EHF), where he provides management support to the President on grantee relationships, due diligence, and the annual grant cycle and also provides support for EHF programs. He brings to the role both professional experience and care for his greater community, in order to build a more inclusive America through capacity building for nonprofits. Prior to joining EHF, Ramy practiced transactional law internationally for several years, where he guided multinational companies in cross-border acquisitions. Most notably, he advised the government of Kuwait on the feasibility and tendering of a waste water treatment plant, as well as advising international banks on financing the construction of an independent water and combined cycle power plant. Ramy subsequently practiced law domestically as a tax attorney, representing individual and corporate clients, primarily in federal tax resolution. Ramy earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Detroit Mercy and a BBA in general business from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
