3 months agoOkay, I adore this place! Theyโve amazing food! I love that this place is like chipotle/subway, but for mediterranean food! I ordered the build your own bowl with falafel. Every ingredient added to the bowl was fresh and delicious. I loved the lentil soup as well. Their fries were good too. My spouse liked his falafel-chicken shawarma bowl. Their food was so good that I over-ate. I over-ate so much that Iโd a tummy ache for a while after!

a month ago5/22/2024 - update: Downgrading from 5 stars to 3. Taking two stars off because when a place says they close at 8pm, and I walk in at 7:52pm, I expect them to be open.. If you want to go home early, then set the hours to 7:45 (or even 7:30), but don't mess with people's hopes that they were going to eat SAJJ just to not get any. I wasn't planning to dine in either.. Just take out Food is great. Serving size is perfect.

a month agoI'm removing a star because certain employees serve the falafel pita with only three pieces rather than the usual four, which seems stingy and is unsatisfying. SAJJ stands out as an excellent option for authentic Mediterranean fare. The servings are generous, and the prices are fair, particularly in light of the price increases at other venues. The inclusion of lentil soup with every order is a pleasant surprise, solidifying this as my favourite lunch spot.

a year agoJune 2023: Stopped by for lunch on a Monday. First time here. I'm a big fan of falafel wraps. So I tried one with all the fixings. I thought the menu was simple but when ordering, it wasn't made clear to me that all of the options were included. Overall, I liked my falafel wrap ๐ฏ. The only complaint that I have is that the falafel didn't taste recently fried. I'm used to going to sunrise deli in the sunset district and their falafel are always fresh. Perhaps SAJJ can do the same. One very nice surprise was the lentil soup ๐ฒ. The soup was delicious . I'd come back for more soup!
