Overall it is a great place to pick up some food when in a hurry. The plate are the best and the price is spot on! They follow the three rules of a great restaurant and all out of a small trailer which is hard to accomplish! The owners and staff are great and helpful as well.
Why not 5 stars? I feel that some of the items are lack luster like the bowls and there fusion food.
The three rules for restaurants is the keep it fresh, keep it clean, and keep it simple! Which they done great at!
Getting a four or five star will become harder, but not impossible! Why? Well, people rating poor restaurants as five stars when they are barely a two or three is commonplace in Google Maps and I would like to fix this problem. On the plus side it is more accurate then yelp. The rule on yelp is never go to a restaurant with a 4.7-4.9 rating Since the numbers are arbitrary and the owners of the restaurants can modify them. A 4.3-4.5 tends to be a better restaurant.
First time at this food truck. We were amazed by how good the food was. The pita bread was so fresh and good. The hummus was excellent. The chicken and beef shawarma were sooo good. The plates are small for the amount of food you get but it's worth it. It's conveniently located for people like us who live in South Bay instead of traveling to El Cajon or Miramar to get Meditation food.
Tried the chicken shawarma and fries, no drink. Not really familiar with this style of cuisine, so stepped out of my comfort zone to try something new while working in this area. A little expensive in my opinion as my total without a drink was $12.99. Lots of flavor and a shaded section for customers. Loud, busy intersection and parking is tight.
Got the gyro plate and the chicken Tikka wrap. Lots of food. Gyro plate was enough for 2 meals. Meat was well seasoned and delicious. The baklava was amazing too!!
This is the first time that I tried mediterranean food and wow!... I liked it a lot.
They recommended the combination plate of beef and chicken tikka which is the marinated meats grilled on skewers and on top of yellow rice.
The meat was juicy and full of flavor, 10/10, the chicken was also good, but if I order the plate again, I NEED more beef tikka 100%.
The rice was also very good.
For sides there was a type of salad that I can only describe as "refreshing". The hummus was really good to use as a dip with the pita.
Portion size for me was perfect, did not feel I needed more or that I was too full.
Overall, I am more than satisfied and happy to have tried this place and I will definitely come back again.
