Shakira Pastry

Baklava and Kunafa taste super good. Definitely Shakira pastry ranks amongst the top 3 middle eastern desserts offering in San Diego. Cake isn't that good compared to sweets even it's very appealing visually. Went here on a Saturday afternoon at 4 for the first time and we were hoping to have a bit more relaxed purchasing experience. We wanted to know desserts flavors and main ingredients since all have pastry dough, pistachios and honey but it seems like store personnel just wanted us to buy something and leave. It's ok though, we can compromise service since food quality is awesome. Will definitely go back for the Baklava.

Update: 2 years later, they have gotten better. Kept prices as low as possible with same quality Thank you. Original: If you're into the middle eastern or Turkish sweets then you're in a good place. A nice variety of baklava, znood, cakes and more. Real tasty.

I been living in San Diego county for almost 20 years and I never had a service or kind of sweets like that place, the worst service , and the worst sweet that I ever tasted, I called that place and I spoke with one of the workers called Sara and I ordered some kind of sweets called Warbat very low shira (sugar) because I am diabetic and I sent my sister to drive like 80 miles RT and when she got home and I tried like one bite, and I spit it in the trash, look’s like they put five pounds of sugar on it, so the same time I called them and I spoke with the same person that I ordered from, and I explain to her how much sugar was on it, and I asked for a full refund, and she said come tomorrow and bring it with you and will issue a refund back to your bank, next day I sent my son and he drove same distance from Escondido, CA to EL Cajon city and when he got there and asked for Sara, they told him no one here called in that name, and they refused to take it back or give me the money back, and that what the owner told the employee, so my son came back home with nothing. Definitely definitely I will not recommend anyone go to that place, very trashy place and very bad customer service and I will give them zero ⭐️

I went there 8 days ago and brought some sweets to try After that I placed an order for pistachio cake $ (70) dollars i6 picked up the cake and went home after dinner I pulled chicken cake from fridge and put a on table it looked nice from outsidetill I started cutting the cake I cut 2 slices and it felt that I ordered wip cream In the shape of a cake the cream was 30/40 % every body was disappointed with this cake if I knew that I went and bought me 4 cans of wip cream I also did stop by today and told lady who was in front about it and left I don't know if she delivered the complain to the owner or not believe me after that I don'tcare but they Lost agood customer and now neither me or family and friends will never go or recommend this place to anyone we know
