Hamid Shamshiri
I come from a long line of restaurateurs in my family. That is why creating and serving good food is in my heart and soul. I started my professional work at my uncle’s restaurant in 1976 at “The Sunset House” restaurant in Hollywood. After that I became a chef at the House of Iran (Golestan), which belonged to the Royal King of Iran.
In 1981, I opened the first Shamshiri. At Shamshiri Grill, we are dedicated to quality and the spirit of hospitality.

2 months agoI recently visited Shamshiri Grill in Westwood, LA. The staff was very friendly, and the service was great. The decor was moderate, providing a comfortable atmosphere. I ordered Mirza Ghasemi, which came in a large portion; the taste was fine but not amazing. I also had Bagheli Polo & Mahiche, which was made with fresh dill, but the dill wasn't cut properlyโthe pieces were too large. The Mahiche itself was decent, but not exceptional. For my drink, I had Doogh, and it was quite good. Overall, while the food was a bit pricey and the taste didnโt fully meet my expectations, the service was solid.

6 months agoFirst time there with my family. We absolutely loved the food. The lamb shank was something unbelievable.. It tasted soooo good. The order was enough for 2 people. The Shamshiri's chicken special, was awesome.. Tender, perfectly seasoned & cooked. The big portions of the food reflects the generosity of the Iranians when it comes to food ๐ Inshalla, definitely I'll come back next time I'm in town.

6 months agoCustomer service was amazing! It was our first visit to LA and def first time being in this restaurant! So warm welcoming and fantastic service! Mahdi was so helpful and friendly and helped us to choose a food that we want to try! I got fish kebab and was so juicy and yummy! Bread and yogurt drink are๐๐ปoveral 10 out of 10!
