I come from a long line of restaurateurs in my family. That is why creating and serving good food is in my heart and soul. I started my professional work at my uncle’s restaurant in 1976 at “The Sunset House” restaurant in Hollywood. After that I became a chef at the House of Iran (Golestan), which belonged to the Royal King of Iran.
In 1981, I opened the first Shamshiri. At Shamshiri Grill, we are dedicated to quality and the spirit of hospitality.

a week agoBest restaurant. I recently dined at Shamshiri Restaurant and was thoroughly impressed. The ambiance was elegant, with beautiful decor and soft lighting that created a cozy atmosphere. The service was exceptional, with friendly staff who were attentive to our needs. The food was the highlight of the evening, with each dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. I particularly enjoyed the kebabs, which were cooked to perfection. While the prices were on the higher side, the quality of the food and service made it well worth it. I highly recommend Shamshiri Restaurant for a delightful dining experience."Remember to be honest and specific in your review to help others make informed decisions about dining at Shamshiri Restaurant.lookimg forward to come back again soon❤️

a month agoWe got the house dough to start which was 10/10. I love that it was not carbonated and perfectly salted and minty. As an appetizer we got the tarith with fesenjoon topping. The tadigh was a bit stale but the fesenjoon was delicious so 7.5/10. For dinner I got the Chicken Shamshiri which a bit rubbery so I give it 8/10. My partner ordered the Ghormeh Sabzi and rated it 8/10. The dinner portion sizes are huge so each item is enough for 2 meals. The atmosphere here is definitely a bit better than the other Persian restaurants on Westwood Blvd and their service was great!

7 months agoWe were happy to find a parking spot right away. The place was buzzing. We noticed a set up for a big party that showed up later. The atmosphere was fun and relaxing. Music was not Persian but blended with the space. We sat close to the kitchen burner windows but it was not hot. We enjoyed watching the chefs cook and the flames go low and high. The place was very clean and the servers were very friendly and they looked like they were enjoying their job… thumbs up to the owner. The plate portions were huge🥰. If you haven’t skipped a meal in the day, you won’t be able to finish your plate. The chicken kabob was flavorful and tender, the zereshk rice was so different and tasteful. I would recommend you order different dishes and share. I’m certainly coming back to this place again.

6 months agoFirst timer with the family in tow. Everyone LOVED it. Our local Persian restaurant died of Covid so when we found this place on our out of state vacation it was a must try. Fast service, food arrived hot and tasty. The place was clean and the staff was competant and friendly. Really love this place. And that's coming from a pizza and wing guy!
