If there were a person who could show us what authentic Greek food was all about, Maria would be the one. As the daughter of a well-known produce grocer in San Jose, Maria Vlahopouliotis indulged in her Greek heritage and passion for food by opening Souvlaki Greek Skewers in 2012.
Through Souvlaki Greek Skewers, Maria revives a time and place of when Yia Yia (โ€˜Grandmaโ€™) used to cook for all of the grandchildren in her family. With โ€˜Authentic Greek foodโ€™ as the restaurantโ€™s mission, only the best ingredients are sourced for Yia Yiaโ€™s recipes; fresh local produce, handmade pitas and genuine Greek spices.
Embrace flavors of Greece and taste the flavors of the Aegean. Visit Souvlaki Greek Skewers today.

Really good Greek food. The best hummus I have ever tasted.

A friend recommended the food here and she was right, it's delicious! We tried the falafels, gyro souvlaki pita, and the falafel pita. My sister is allergic to dairy, and the employee at the cash register was very friendly and helpful when we asked about dairy-free items on the menu.

Great Greek skewers. There was a level of freshness and juiciness that we enjoyed from the beef skewers mainly. The 3 piece plate was good but tougher chicken and pork. We liked the sauce and veggies just wish there was room on the plate for more.

I had their 3 piece plate, I highly recommend it! 3 different skewers together with some pita bread, some veggies, and a cup of sauce. If you're a fan of a taco plate, this is what you wanna get for sure!

The food here is really good. My girls fav is the Dolmates and I get the 3 skewer plate with rice. My go to skewers have to be the bifteki and the chicken. So good! We always get a large thing of the tatziki sauce with the pita bread. You can never have too much of that sauce. The only other thing I've tried was a chicken pita and it was great too. Lots of fresh veggies on it. Service here is really basic and all you really need. No complaints but don't come here for the ambiance.
