If there were a person who could show us what authentic Greek food was all about, Maria would be the one. As the daughter of a well-known produce grocer in San Jose, Maria Vlahopouliotis indulged in her Greek heritage and passion for food by opening Souvlaki Greek Skewers in 2012.
Through Souvlaki Greek Skewers, Maria revives a time and place of when Yia Yia (‘Grandma’) used to cook for all of the grandchildren in her family. With ‘Authentic Greek food’ as the restaurant’s mission, only the best ingredients are sourced for Yia Yia’s recipes; fresh local produce, handmade pitas and genuine Greek spices.
Embrace flavors of Greece and taste the flavors of the Aegean. Visit Souvlaki Greek Skewers today.

a month agoA friend recommended the food here and she was right, it's delicious! We tried the falafels, gyro souvlaki pita, and the falafel pita. My sister is allergic to dairy, and the employee at the cash register was very friendly and helpful when we asked about dairy-free items on the menu.

in the last weekGreat lunch experience with the restaurant enveloped in the aroma of eggplant and lamb skewers on the hot grill. Busy after 12.00pm and very helpful staff. Recommended by a Greek family and they stood up to it particularly the spanikopita and grilled lamb

a year agoBest small cute cozy Greek place . Amazing chicken . Can’t say in words how nicely they marinate n cook the chicken but I rarely appreciate chicken and this one is the place. I went here after 6 months as I was traveling and it was just as good as it was last time. Such a gem keep it up guys

5 years agoVery good food, decent price and quick service. I've been trying to check out all the greek places around south bay. This one is pretty good with reasonable prices for the amount of food. The chicken skewers had a bit too much lemon juice for my taste but my daughter liked it. Yummy feta fries.

a year agoPortion is a bit small, the quality of food is however really great. Less greasy gyros, great and fresh ingredients on their salads, that chicken skewer does wonders, the spicy sauces are nowhere close to being spicy (at least for me felt like ketchup ), the white sauce (am guessing yoghurt base - amazing), fries are so-so, lamb skewers were really good and the pita bread that comes with the starter and most plates is really something that completes the dishes! Thanks Souvlaki team!
