A delightful little spot that serves three kinds of sangrias (I tried the peach) but has also a full selection of hard liquor for the grownups. There's seating at the bar and also general inside seating as well. With tons of natural lighting it is as its patrons, quiet and thoughtful. A peaceful little pocket world self-contained, a tick away from the noise, the relentless sounds of hustle & flow, just right outside its closed door. You could write here, alone on your laptop creating it just observing the every day ordinariness of nice people living their best lives, have a real conversation with another person you cared about, maybe even a stranger, someone new (you may one day grow to care very much about), who initially wanted to know only what that wonderful looking salad you were having was... Or just sit quietly with no need of words simply enjoying good food, the comforting solitude of your own company and the silence, having no external interaction at all. I forget that sometimes; how nice it is to be still, completely indulgent of the serenity found only in silence. You can do that here. If you want. I had a delicious 'Donner' salad, long island ice tea and the most splendid conversation since like I just said, I forget, I mean A Lot, I confess, how nice it is to be silent ;o) This is one of what I hope will be many little gems here in DTLA I get to discover. I will most certainly be back. If you stop in ask for Shona, she's the other very attractive mixologist behind the bar.

I got lucky with the parking out front, but not inside because of their BOGO soft opening deal. It was packed with a small line to order. I had takeout, so forgive the togo containers in the photos. I got the Street Cart Wrap with beef and lamb, as well as the Berliner Bowl with chicken and quinoa. I ate nearly a 1/3 of the bowl and 1/2 the wrap. The flavors were very addictive. This was a comfort food I never knew I needed. Such freshness and I loved the texture of all the ingredients in the salad. The berliner sauce had a pleasant tang to it. The Wrap had a garlic aioli that I wish I had more to dunk with. Definitely worth checking out.

Modern take on Mediterranean food. I got a Berliner wrap, and I wish there was more meat. The wrap itself is substantial but it felt small eating it all. I was hoping for it to be bigger because whenever I make a wrap with other Mediterranean joints, my wrap is huge and overflowing with food for a fraction of a price that they sell here at Spitz. The cashier was nice and the atmosphere is intimate. A little too dark for my liking though. It almost looks closed from the outside. This is a good meet up joint though.

The Berliner was my favorite. Didn’t like the Doner basket as much as the Berliner but it was still filling for the price. The Doner basket has everything in it and I thought it’d be more my speed but was just ok. Gives me lunch vibes or something quick vibes. Bartender was delightful, food came out fast and feels healthy. The beef-lamb meat is flavorful. Didn’t like the falafel. Strong and unique drinks. I’d recommend this place for a quick bite. $15 Flat rate parking garage near by. They should validate parking

Food was good for the price. L it was just bland for me and the wraps could use little more sauce. The ambience was good and service was fast.
