The Sultan Qaboos Cultural Center (SQCC) is dedicated to educating the people of the United States and Oman about the breadth and richness of our two cultures. SQCC promotes mutual respect and understanding between our nations and strives to educate a new generation of culturally sensitive and knowledgeable citizens in each society. Through outreach programs, scholarships, lectures, educational resources, cultural partnerships, and our Cultural Center in Washington, DC, SQCC brings the culture, history, and heritage of our nations to audiences in the US and abroad.

2 years agoIf you're in the area, definitely worth a visit. The exhibits are beautifully done and very interesting and informative. There's also an on-site library. Very friendly staff to answer questions.

a year agoThe Arabic 101 classes here are a treasure. I am learning so much so quickly. My teacher is extremely positive and kind. I have never felt remotely out of place wearing a kippah or yarmulke to class. SQCC is an asset to the DC community in my experience, and the library is awesome!

a year agoWe came here for Embassy Day, they had a lot of wonderful hands-on interactions, free henna drawings, and a picture experience that made it seem like you were in Oman. Great cultural insight into a beautiful country!
