Iโm Armenian and liked the look of the food on display, so I ordered a generous amount for myself. I wasnโt able to find any cheese in the Cheese Borek; the Yalanchi (grape leaves wrap) was pretty oily, but not bad; Mainly, Iโm sorry to say that the other reviews which talked about โflavorless meatโ were accurate. I had lamb in a wrap and itโs like there was no seasoning at allโฆ no peppers, no onion? Really??? Nothing? The whole meal basically tasted like a bunch of bread, and for about $30.
This place wonโt last. Too bad.
Food is the bomb and quick. They were out of cups so I couldnโt order a drink. I waited nearly 10 minutes to be helped. A man came up behind me and yelled for someone to come out. No one is out front and there isnโt a bell to let them know youโre waiting. While I sat and ate several people walked up but no one helped them so they left.
20 dollars for unauthentic Mediterranean food. Nothing here tasted like Mediterranean food, and look at the portion. Itโs just a money grab I really wanted it give it 3 stars. But not even the taste was there not even in the sauces..
If you want unseasoned meat and an expensive lunch or dinner then this place is for you. If not avoid it and get some Mexican at burrito loco. Way better. Service was eh, she seemed bored and didnโt ask or say anything. Fake reviewsโฆ do not believe. Nasty and expensive. No ice for your sodas either which is weird
We are always up to trying new things... in fact, most of my reviews are just that. The visit to TOA was no different. My son and are were hungry after a busy afternoon of shopping at the mall. Not a big fan of the other eateries there so when we saw a new -(--to us) vendor we approached. The fact that we read "Mediterrean" made it more attractive.
A new person at the register is understandable... a bored looking couple standing by the wall should have been a red flag to keep walking! We ordered and it was pricey! $43 --plus a tip, which I wish I had not paid- for the amount of food was outrageous!!!
The wait did not help. It took over 20 minutes to get our food. And when we finally did, it was lacking. My son's chicken kabob had a few pieces of chicken, alot of bland rice and some greens- for $17.00.
My fatoush salad had a lot of over baked pita chips, a non-descript tasteless dressing and very few tomatoes and cucumbers.. for $9.50. We also ordered a side of falafel which was over fried and too dry. The attendant said it takes longer because it us made to order but for the mediocre food we received, it does not seem much time and thought goes into the preparation of their over priced menรบ items. I recognize the name from a food truck I have seen in our Tower District... and I wonder if it is as bad or worse. I don't think I want to find out.
