It all started in 1990, when the founding partners opened a hot dog cart on West 53rd & 6th Avenue, New York, NY. They saw a huge demand among the Muslim cab drivers needing to have a halal Muslim meal. They quickly exchanged their cart and began servicing halal food, which became a huge success. They focused on the enhancement of their products to make it different and enjoyable. From that time, they pledged to use the best halal products to serve the public. During that time, they created their special magic white sauce and fiery hot sauce, which our public loves.
The second opening is on the southeast corner of W.53rd Street and 6th Avenue across from the main cart that is next to the Hilton hotel. The third opening was on the southwest corner of 7th avenue and W53rd Street. The fourth opening was at the LaGuardia Community College in front of the Thomas. The fifth opening was on the northeast corner of East 14th Street and 2nd Avenue. Our latest opening, is our first brick and mortar shop, The Halal Guys Store, which is also located on East 14th Street and 2nd avenues. Now The Halal Guys has steadily grown to become the leading and largest food cart company within the New York area.
Now the quick-service halal street cart company is going national, creating a chain that keeps the core values and provides opportunities to new partners who want to share The Halal Guys experience. The Halal Guys Inc. is a federal registered company that has a registered trademark, name, logo and slogan and is a privately held and family owned.
With 24 consecutive years of positive sales growth, The Halal Guys has set itself apart by pioneering innovations and creating delicious products—including the ever-popular White Sauce for customers.

3 months agoWe went here after a night at the beach. I had this before in SF but still wanted to check this one out. I got the combo platter with chicken and beef. I saw some complaints on here about the portions but I'ma a big dude and it was definitely enough for me. My wife got the sandwich and fries. Everything worked out. I would return if in the area.

5 months agoWanted to try the famous Halal Guys but didnโt want to go to New York so I came here. I ordered a gyro beef and falafel plate. I got 3 lines of the red sauce and that sauce was hot af, I had no idea but I do now. After this experience I watched videos on YouTube warning about the sauce. The food was a bit overrated and the portion wasn't that big but it was good to try this restaurant. The employees were chill too.

2 months agoFlavorful food made quick! The spicy BBQ chicken wrap was a good deal at $12 and was just right to fill me up. The chicken has a nice medium spice that stays for a minute, and the hot sauce packets add more punch and flavor. I'd recommend asking for "white sauce" on top of the meat, then add veggies and get a second helping of white sauce. Nobody seemed perturbed at me being a transgender woman.

11 months agoI mean, it's quick serve, so what can you expect? The food was good. A little light on the portion of beef they give on the plate, but otherwise, we enjoyed it. My wife got the falafel sandwich, and for her, it was huge.
