Yaseen Kady is a Physician Assistant working in Internal Medicine, Nephrology, and Lipidology. He is a part of SCKE Health’s Lipid Clinic team. Yaseen received his Masters in Physician Assistant studies from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA in 2019.
His practice philosophy focuses on patient communication and understanding. Yaseen’s main goals are not only to assess and treat disease using evidence-based guidelines, but also to understand the patient’s lifestyle, priorities, and perception of their illness. By doing so, Yaseen and the patient can establish mutually-agreed upon realistic treatment/management goals. His belief is that this approach will empower the patient, enhance treatment compliance, and ultimately promote life-long health and wellness.
Additionally, Yaseen is interested in the interpretation and application of genomic data in the clinic: genetic variants may help identify complex and serious disease predisposition. In 2015, Yaseen co-founded Guardiome, a whole genome sequencing company focused on improving patient accessibility to personalized genomic data. His hope is that in the near future, omics data will be readily available to help improve primary prevention of various diseases.
