Hope Dr. Khalil will take the feedbacks for the front desk here seriously. Dr Khalil is a great doctor. He's very attentive and knowledgeable. However, it is impossible to get the call answered and any questions or inquiry responded. This will really drive businesses away from the doctor.

The last 5 month reviews are 100% accurate, I called to make a first appointment, the phone rang for 3 minutes and went to voicemail after. It's too bad because the actual doctor sounds great on paper. Oh well, I do appreciate everyone's warnings. I would not want to deal with that type of staff or trust them with my health.

Unfortunately, Khalil Zaid focuses on number of patients seen rather than quality of care. This review is on behalf of my dad who’s the patient and is currently overseas. His meds need prior authorization by the doctor to be covered by insurance. The doctor and his staff don’t seem to understand the concept of prior authorization, and suggested that my father sticks with whatever is in the formulary, despite it not working out for him. Khalil sounded incompetent and wanted my brother, who’s a resident in medical school, to do the prior authorization instead (because the same issue happened a few months back and was resolved when my brother handled it). When I insisted that the doctor needs to do it, he threw me onto his assistant who said she doesn’t want to have anything to do with it. It felt dismissive, apathetic, and unprofessional. It’s as if we were asking an impossible task, when in reality there were just not going about it the right way. Just a simple phone call from the doctor to the insurance approving it could have prevented so much time loss on both ours and their end. I spent 2 hours at the office (and my sister spent over an hour last week) trying to get this resolved, but no luck. Oh and the reason we go in person is because they NEVER answer the phone. This whole experience was frustrating, especially given the fact that my father’s care under Khalil was always suboptimal. His meds are necessary and urgent, yet it seems inconvenient for the doctor and his staff to do their job and get it to him. Added after owner's response: Yes, you have never met me before, but I talk to my father about his care. And this is exactly what's frustrating: the medication my dad needs is not automatically covered by insurance, but once you approve the prior authorization, then it is covered. I feel like we keep going in cycles and not sure why this point is not understood. The meds that are automatically covered don't sit well with my dad; you can't force a medication that the patient doesn't want, especially when there is an alternative that needs an extra few mins of your time. Trust me, as someone in the health field myself, I'm sensitive to reviews on doctors where patients might sound entitled. I'm only leaving this review because of the amount of frustrations my family has experienced for several months now with your office, it's not a one time inconvenience.

Dr Zaid Khalil is a really good doctor but his front office staff are terrible. I have been waiting for my medication to be sent to the insurance for pre-approval then to the pharmacy since May (4 months ago). Also tried to schedule an appointment for my husband with no luck. They never answer the phone and when they do (if you get lucky), they only take a message and promise someone will call you back, but they never do. It is very frustrating having to find another doctor and start the whole process all over. I hope Dr. Khalil can find better office admins as his practice has a great potential.
