The #1 Lebanese Restaurant in the DC area. Choice Bethesda destination with a casual vibe serving authentic Lebanese cuisine featuring live belly dancer shows on the weekends.
I recently visited here, with one of my girlfriends, primarily to experience the belly dance performance. We chose to go on a Friday night, expecting a bustling atmosphere, but it was surprisingly less busy than anticipated. Nevertheless, we decided to make the most of our evening and ordered four different dishes to share, accompanied by a bottle of wine.
The highlight of the evening was definitely the belly dancing performance. It was entertaining and added a lively element to our dining experience. Watching the dancer move gracefully to the music was a unique and enjoyable experience.
I love Lebanese food… And so I was really excited to try a Lebanese restaurant that is close to where I live.
Unfortunately I was quite underwhelmed by the food at Bacchus. A lot of what I ordered lacked flavour/seasoning &/or was super oily.
It’s a family owned and run restaurant, which does give it a special mum and pop authenticity. The decor will also teleport you to a beautiful Mediterranean location with paintings reminiscent of Ancient Greek gods and goddesses.
It was super busy when I went, so clearly it’s a popular restaurant likely with many repeat customers. But for me, I felt the service was very slow and the food was not great enough for me to want to go back to perhaps try different options from the menu.
Mother’s Day dinner. Two of us. Management and hubby. Nice food, and nice quiet atmosphere. Plus when I clumsily knocked over my wife’s glass of Prosecco they replaced it without further cost. Classic old place. We hadn’t been there in 25 years since our daughter’s rehearsal dinner. Still a pleasant place to dine.
Yesterday, I came into Bacchus for lunch, and I was thoroughly impressed with my experience.
The restaurant's interior was exceptionally aesthetically pleasing, creating a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. It was impeccably clean, which added to the overall positive impression.
The servers were not only attentive but also very friendly, making me feel welcomed from the moment I walked in. They ensured that I received my food quickly and efficiently.
I ordered an order of falafel to go, and it exceeded my expectations. The falafel was a delightful treat. It had a perfect crunch on the outside, and the flavors were incredibly satisfying.
I'm eager to return and explore more of their menu.
The food was DELICIOUS! Truly fantastic food with compliments to the kitchen.
However, the service did not match. The service wasn’t bad, either, it was just very minimal and the servers all seemed exhausted and unhappy to be there. I don’t know if this is true it just felt like a burden to be there.
