It was a rare occasion for me to dine at a Turkish restaurant in the US. In fact, this was my first time experiencing Turkish cuisine outside of Istanbul. Owned by a friend of my friend's in-law-to-be, the restaurant offered a selection of traditional Turkish dishes that we thoroughly enjoyed. The meats were prepared in the Halal style, and the flavors were exceptional. While it's difficult to discern between Halal and non-Halal tastes, I understand that some people have religious preferences regarding their food. The black tea I ordered complemented the meal perfectly, although it's worth noting that the restaurant does not serve alcohol. The Mediterranean-inspired decor and ambiance, along with the predominantly Middle Eastern clientele, added to the authentic experience. Overall, I would highly recommend visiting this establishment to sample delicious Mediterranean cuisine.
The service definitely needs improvement. Our second order didn't arrive until after we had finished the first one completely. We were left wondering when the second order would be ready and had to remind the waitstaff about it. Their response seemed puzzled, and it wasn't clear if they understood our query. We even considered ordering something else, but luckily, the second order finally arrived about five minutes later. To better accommodate the diverse ethnicities of their patrons, the establishment may need to ensure that their waitstaff communicates clearly and with appropriate expressions.
Nice place but kind of very slow service. Took them 15-20 minutes to bring our soup that was probably ready in the kitchen. Didnโt offer/bring any water or bread that is customary in Turkish cuisine prior to serving the food. Other than very long wait food is not bad. To be fair maybe we caught them off guard on a weekday where they werenโt expecting many people. But at the same time there were only about 10-12 people dining inโฆ
My boyfriend and I came here for breakfast and it did not disappoint! We had the Menemen with Simit, Hummus with Pita, and the Cheese and Zaโatar Manakish. Everything was amazing and I would definitely recommend the dishes we got. As for the atmosphere, the decorations were really cool. The only complaint I have here is that they donโt give tap water to customers! I understand that itโs more of a cafe vibe than a sitdown restaurant, but there should be tap water available. The only option they provided was to buy bottled water (or sodas) from the fridge. If the food wasnโt so good, Iโd have to give them a lower rating ๐ฅฒ
First and foremost, the food is delicious. The interior decoration is wonderful. It does a great job of representing Turkish decor and style.
I was also impressed by the baklava. ๐คค
Amazing food but the service could be better. We tried many dishes with different flavors and everything was delicious . Their thin pizza like bread with either beef, cheese were fantastic . Their platter I would not recommend , I expected more. It was bland and there was no place for the beef Pattieโs .
