“Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed to him, we will return.”
Building a Strong Foundation: Understanding and Embracing the Pillars of Islam.
This iconic mosque, crowned with a vibrant green dome and accompanying minaret, towers over the surrounding streetscape. Constructed in the early 1990s, it is one of just a handful of buildings in Los Angeles County built with the express purpose of being a mosque.

a month agoVery beautiful looking mosque near downtown. They open only in prayer times (+30min) before and after. - The mosque is very clean and maintains hygiene - The security is really good. But management has some limitations as well: This is a very large property maaShaAllah, but maybe people don’t feel welcomed here due to some reasons: - Security guards are not welcoming and sometimes rude. If you mistakenly take your backpack/shoes in wrong place they rudely respond and never smile. There are nice ways to conduct with people which islam teaches us. - Parking fee is 10 dollars which is expensive for many. Although it goes to donation but you cannot fix or force for donation it’s a sadaqah, I saw many people arguing with the security guard there which is not nice. This place belongs to almighty Allah and equal for all Muslim. May Allah guide us all to make this mosque a real mosque, inheritance of Islamic culture, mannerism and values, that’s why the critics for the sake of betterment

6 years agoMasha Allah Tabarak Allah It's a very wonderful design, structure and location. It's right at Metro stop, bus stop and intersection of main two roads. 4 Hours meter parking is available at S Vermont Ave and there are two enormous vacant land where they charge $5 per car. I am not sure if that is only on Friday or every day. In regular prayers other than Friday they open the mosque just 30 minutes before the prayer time. The brothers who work there are very polite and helpful, may Allah bless them and their management. Jumaa/Friday lecture is in English.

a year agoReally bad management. Not welcoming kids. my kids do not playing or running. they just reading quran and waiting for prayers. one blue shirt guy ask them to shut up. wow. my first time here in LA and i saw many people with mental illness and finally i found one in the mosque. do not feel like you are better than others just because you work in the mosque.
