After visiting many OC hospitals with my client. Hoag has been the best. Referred to Hoag from Hoag urgent care I thought the PA was just boasting about the company he was employed with. From the moment we entered ER we were greeted with friendly staff , caring , compassionate . My client noticed it too if anyone was stressed, overworked or unhappy they never showed it. They were able to diagnose, medicate and also get my client placed in a rehabilitation facility. It took them three days because he is a difficult placement. I was called everyday, by social services case manager with an update. They listen to my concerns and addressed it. I see why it is rated for 10 years in the top ten in Southern California. It is not just a job to do , but a job that is done efficiently, with professionalism from the entire staff. Thanks Hoag for old fashion care. Caregiver of Robert G.

I went to Hoag when I was having a colitis flare-up. Checking in through the ER was incredibly quick. I feel I might have been lucky on that part because there was almost no way. The ER was quick to respond to my needs and had me in a room within a couple of hours. Once in my room, the staff was tip-top. I was on the 7th floor of the West Tower and Mary Jane, Reagan, and a bunch of other nurses whose names I can't remember were very great about taking care of my needs. But the one guy who shined above all the others was a night nurse named Emanuel Bernspe. This guy is amazing. You took incredibly good care of me and even took it upon himself to help me get some things addressed that weren't gaining any traction from the physicians. This guy went way above and beyond and definitely deserve some recognition for what he does for his patients. The doctors were good about coming up with a plan it was a little slow going at times but that's kind of the nature of medical care, waiting for test results and whatnot. The in-house positions were great as well as the specialists that I dealt with. The food was well prepared and decent considering it's Hospital food. The views from the rooms, if you're lucky and get a good room, are amazing. They are very good at being quiet at night. It was honestly like sleeping in a tomb. Which I do appreciate. I highly recommend this facility.

I could not say enough good things about my experience at the Hoag Newport Beach ER. I got into a skiing accident that resulted in a laceration on my jaw. After thinking through many options for different ERs and Urgent Cares I could go to, I ended up at the Newport Beach Hoag ER. Right when I walked in, the front desk staff were kind and caring -- it made me feel safe immediately even though I was scared and in pain. The wait was reasonable and they even offered my family sandwiches during this time. I was seen by a PA named James that was extremely attentive and stitched my laceration with so much care. I went back 5 days later to get my stitches removed and experienced the same level of care. The staff and doctors are warm, caring, and talented.

Paid off my hospital bill and asked them make sure to turn off the monthly auto payment I had set up. The person over the phone said “no problem it’s already turned off you won’t get charged twice”. 5 days later I was charged again through that auto payment (more than $500 payment) when I called back to get the charge reversed it took 20 minutes, mind you paying my bill only took 5. They did not acknowledge an error, did not apologize. PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR BANK STATEMENTS. They may have overcharged you like they did with me and not cared.

Jene, Nurse in cath Lab was absolutely wonderful, a terrific, caring, compassionate, gentle, hard-working Nurse. My husband was blessed to have her.
