2 months agoHorrible place! They treat patients worse than animals, they scold them and shout at them as if they were children! They treat homeless people very badly! Most of the nurses don't even look at you, they throw you on a stretcher in the hallway and leave you there for more than 3 hours without telling you anything or doing any tests. They come and talk to you in a bad way and take your vital signs almost pulling you. It's very sad how they treat the homeless. ๐ฅน a very bad shape person arrived and they just yelled at her, the girl cried and screamed in pain and they just looked at her with anger, the doctors didn't even move a finger, they just looked out and went back to where they were, (that girl arrived after that I arrive) She started vomiting of pain and asked for help and they scolded her even more!. . ER was alone, there were almost no patients at that time, the rooms and beds were alone and they decided where to put you.,in the hallways. This world is already bad! There is no humanity left, and even less in this hospital. From the moment you arrive, the two girls have a mocking attitude when they are taking your personal information. From there you already know that the rest will be worse.

a month agoKern Medical Center is a joke..There policy means more to them then there patient well-being..My daughter was screaming in pain for me to stay and security kicked me out. They knew my daughter was going to be alone for 2 hours and instead of letting me stay there until the boyfriend came back They still kick me out living my daughter alone for 2 hours that showed me that they do not care about their patients well-being. It happened 8/16/24

2 months agoNever did I ever expect the experience I had this past week with KMC Labor & Delivery! I have delivered my 3 other babies at San Joaquin and occasionally you run into that one employee that is miserable and can sometimes take it out on you. KMC was amazing. The nurses were absolutely lovely, caring & extremely attentive. I did not once run into someone that didnโt seem like they didnโt want to be at work, I loved all their vibes, their advices that they have experienced during labor inducement & C-section which is what ended up happening to me. These nurses on labor & delivery deserve so much for their hard work that they go through daily! You guys were the rock to me recovering from surgery & I am truly thankful for every nurse that helped me out! Wish I was a millionaire and could have given you guys a nice thank you gift but since Iโm notโฆ just know I appreciated everything you guys did for me and my baby!

2 months agoI never imagined Iโll see such a thing in my life. I was in the ICU with a patient who was in her last days of life suffering in pain that only a high dose of Dilaudid IV would give her some relief for an hour while for the next hour she will be in unimaginable suffering. A nurse by the name of FEVIAN comes in gives her a saline flush, no medicine after it and no final flush after as was always the case, and says he will return with her medicine. Then comes back and tries to make another line saying the initial line was clogged. After patient tells him if he can use catheter port, he stops what heโs doing and says heโll ask the doctor. He never returned to tell us what the doctor said and when we ask for the pain med, he said he already gave it to patient. Patient says she didnโt feel anything and typically when she receives her IV Dilaudid she knocks out in seconds and we all notice it and this was not the case when he gave the saline flush. He says she has built tolerance and thatโs why she isnโt feeling the pain relief. However, when his shift ended an hour later and a new nurse replaced him and gave the patient her medication. It became clear that the initial IV line was not clogged, and the patient had not built any tolerance as he claimed. We did not want to say anything as we didnโt want the nurse to retaliate at the patient. But if you are a patient or have a loved one whoโs a patient, be carful with this nurse, especially if strong pain medications are being prescribed. And if you are an employee of KMC, this nurse is not only destroying the image of nurses and the hospital, but also health care workers at large. It would not be fair to ruin the image of the nurses and doctors who deserve nothing but praise and prayer with actions of some unethical individuals. To those nurses and doctors that actually care about their patients thank you for your help and I ask God to reward you in both worlds.

5 months agoIโm truly amazed and grateful for my labor and delivery experience from start to finish. I had phenomenal nurses my entire stay. Erin and Patricia took care of me my entire labor process they made sure I was comfortable and treated me with so much patience, kindness and respect. Going through labor is such a scary experience but they made me feel comfortable and did everything to make sure I was okay the entire time. I couldnโt be more thankful. After my C-section I stayed two nights and I was lucky to have Maddy both nights as my nurse and she AMAZED me and my husband she was so kind and helpful the entire time. She educated us and explained every step of the way. Maddy took such good care of not only me and baby but also made my husband feel so comfortable. Maddy was constantly checking on me making sure I was not in pain and was so gentle with baby. This is my second pregnancy and By far the BEST experience ever. Iโm so grateful for the entire KMC staff from doctors, nurses, home keeping and food service ladies. I couldnโt ask for more! Thank you for this wonderful service and thank you to all the nurses who helped me when I was in pain. KMC is definitely filled with amazing staff and quick acting doctors.
