Evergreen Islamic Center (EIC) emerged as a satellite mosque and community center under the South Bay Islamic Association (SBIA) in 1978. As the Bay Area’s Muslim community expanded, EIC’s premises were purchased in 1989, and since 1996, prayers have been held there. In 2012, EIC became an independent entity, incorporating in California and registering as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. A new mosque, anticipated to be 17,000 square feet, has been under construction since 2012. EIC actively hosts congregational prayers, religious and secular classes, family programs, and community gatherings, while promoting peace and justice for all.
The masjid is really big and beautiful ❤️.
Enough parking. There is construction also going on there
So mostly in future there would be more space inshallah.
We go to taraweeh every at this Mosques. Overall Mosques is good.
The con about the mosques is that teenagers who linger, create nuisance and have no intention for prayer. Folks who run the mosques are not taking any action to prevent these.
Also lately they have start table separattion for male and female; splitting families. They have started marking table Men only and not enough tables for families and given most of the tables for males.. very sad. Very disappointint
This masjd has a vibrant community and excellent volunteers that make this masjid a welcoming environment for the whole family. Always enjoy coming here during Ramadan and Jumma prayers. May Allah keep this masjid thriving with the growing community. Ameen.
It's a shame that this was the mosque that for iftar families didn't have to sit separately. But lately there tables marked men only. Forcing families to either split between men and women. If the trend is to split male and females like it happens in strict Muslim families the ln they should create a slipterand make sure men are one side and females are one side. No families are sitting there.
Perhaps final Ramadan at this masjid for my family.
