Islamic Market is an independent, locally run grocery and import store of goods from the Middle East but includes other products from further afield. It specializes in Halal meets and wholesale spices. It has a clothing section with many styles of Middle Eastern clothing including a large selection of dresses. It has a small Arabic bookshop for children and adults. It’s also one of the only places in Dearborn where you can buy tanoor bread ovens.

Iโ€™m a black new revert to Islam from another country . Seems to me they might be stereotyping all black people. I could do the same to them. But Islam teaches me differently. I came in there with my white husband and even he noticed the cashier or owner was watching us like a hawk yesterday. I understand you donโ€™t want anyone stealing. Your business is in a predominantly black area if you donโ€™t trust or like black customers donโ€™t put your business there then smh . Unfortunately this comes with owning a business and you have to be tolerant with people regardless. We Spent like $200 usd donโ€™t think as a black Muslim I would ever come back and support this store . I know you can do just fine without our money . But you have the Quran in the store try reading and learn how to deal with your customers . Maybe you can learn something from it.

My son went in to buy ground beef. He asked the guy to ground him fresh beef. The guy said no at first and then pointed towards meat and said only from this. Which was meat cut up into small cubes. He then told him if he wanted to ground fresh beef it will be an additional charge. Wonโ€™t be coming back here again.

Very upsetting experience. The place is very Americanized. Hardly any authentic product. Shame.

I usually just buy the clothing items from the fashion department, like sandals and stuff.
