Jaaaaan Restaurant is proud to bring a new and exciting atmosphere to the heart of Glendale. We strive to deliver quality food, specially crafted cocktails, and live entertainment every week to bring life back to your world.
I attended a birthday party at the restaurant, and I must say, the atmosphere was fantastic and the service was top-notch. However, the food left much to be desired (except the late time omelette which was so delicious). It might be beneficial for the restaurant managers to sample dishes from other high-quality establishments, like Rafi's Place or other successful Persian, Armenian and Mediterranean spots, to elevate their food offerings. Additionally, Iโve experienced DJ Voski at various events, but this time he didnโt quite hit the mark. The playlist felt outdated, and he struggled to select songs that resonated with the crowd's vibe, even with the English tracks. Overall, the management should really focus on improving both the food quality and the music, as these are crucial elements for a successful dining experience.
This is one of a kind type of restaurant. Went with friends who smoke hookah and to start with they got the best hookah in Glendale. In addition to that their food is so authentic their Fatoush salad is to die for and their Branzino is super tasty. The manager is super professional and caring her name is Maria, she came multiple times to check on our table. This made the experience so warm and very welcoming. I love this place and will for sure come here all the time. Highly highly recommended.
Although a private party is taking place, Artash was very hospitable and kind enough to seat me in the patio. I am enjoying the Armenian music and my food as I'm sitting outside. Shout out to Artash and the DJ ๐๐๐ Will definitely come back!!!
We had a great event yesterday, for which I give special thanks to Vahan, who stayed by our side until the end of the event; Garik provided an ideal sea. Maria took care of every guest. Liana performed her duties perfectly. The food was perfect, tasty and in maximum quantity. I can confidently say that I plan to hold all my future events in this restaurant. We organized a family event and were greeted with such care that the entire restaurant staff became part of our extended family. I will recommend this restaurant to all my friends.
Armenian restaurants are renowned for their hospitality and succulent meat kebabs. However, our experience at JAAAAAN on March 24, 2024, left us deeply disappointed. Despite arriving promptly to celebrate our friend's 65th birthday, we were greeted with an unexpected lack of hospitality. Shockingly, we were informed that we should have expected a one-hour delay, customary in Armenian restaurants. However, since we were "Russians," we arrived as scheduled, only to find the previous party not yet finished.
As our celebration came to an end, I approached the manager to express our disappointment and the inconvenience experienced by our party attendees, especially the family of the birthday girl who are from Ukraine, not Russia. Instead of an apology, I was accused of racism and threatened with police involvement if payment for the meal was not made promptly. Even my attempt at reconciliation through a handshake was rejected as the manager walked away.
Regrettably, I cannot recommend this establishment due to the manager's demeanor, unprofessional conduct, and evident lack of hospitality skills. Additionally, the meat was disappointingly dry.
