King Of Koshary

My family and I had an amazing experience at King of Koshary in Arlington! The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and our server was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They answered all our questions with a smile. Can't wait to come back for more flavorful delights!

Authentic Egyptian food with a wide variety of tasty choices. We tried the traditional Egyptian dish Molokhia with chicken and it was above expectations so we ordered a second dish. We also ordered grilled fish with tasty espices and tahini sauce and it was amazing. We ordered rice pudding to go and it was good. I decided to give this restaurant a visit every time we come to DC area.

I originally gave this restaurant five stars. However, after going home, both my mother and I began to experience extreme indigestion/heart burn. Something was wrong with the food. Despite pain medication and heartburn medication, I had one of the worst cases of indigestion in my life. I am concerned with the safety of the food. Update: A few days later and I am still sick. Original Review: Koshari was fresh and delicious! It would have been nicer if the red sauce was a bit thicker. Shaksuka was fine. I am not a fan of mombar personally. The taajin akawi (ox tail) was delicious! We were unable to order stuffed pigeon but were told if we ask in advance we may be able to arrange it next time. The waitress was very polite and respectful. Wonderful authentic halal Egyptian 🇪🇬 food.

We’ve heard nothing, but good things about this place and finally made the time to drive out to it from Maryland. It was so worth the trip. The food was amazing! Authentic Egyptian cuisine (validated by the Egyptian who tried everything on the menu)! Make sure to try okra with lamb tagine.
