I stumbled upon this wonderful restaurant while trying to find a place to celebrated EID. All praises to the most high for guiding me here. The manager was extremely helpful and kind, he made me feel so welcome, he reserved the best table for me. I got a chance to meet one of the chefs who was a woman, I had to compliment her on her cooking techniques. Every dish we ate was halal and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!
I am always a little hesitant when ordering salmon, but I absolutely recommend what I had today. The hummus was full of flavor and the naan was fresh out of the oven. The taste was perfect and the grilled vegetables accented the flavor of the salmon. We were treated very nicely and the staff was attentive in just the right amount. I will absolutely be backโค๏ธ
I was at this restaurant last night and feel compelled to share my observations regarding two diners, Sam Joseph and Tara Yous, who left negative reviews. Tara's behavior towards the servers and the female manager was extremely rude. Her dissatisfaction stemmed from a misunderstanding during a phone conversation about the menu. Despite being informed that the restaurant does not offer a buffet menu, and the buffet food items is not the same as the restaurant menu items. Tara began yelling and berating the servers, claiming she was misled and that there were no vegetarian options available on the buffet. Interestingly, both Tara and her male partner indulged in the buffet offerings, which include vegetarian dishes like hummus, spicy hummus, lentil soup, tabbouleh, mutabel, baba ghanoush, garden salad, okra stew, eggplant musakaโa, hot fresh pita bread and kushari as well as non-vegetarian options such as whole roasted lamb with rice, which I think was insane to see on a buffet because I have never seen a whole lamb offered in any other buffet. Makluba (rice and chicken), chicken soup, shredded lamb with caramelized onions, bashamel (which is a pasta dish made with bachamel sauce, ground meat mixture and cheese, Spaghetti and meat balls. The desert was Baklava, rice pudding, mixed fresh fruits, semolina cake, cookies, and these delicious custard stuffed little pancakes with pistachio and drizzle of syrup. Despite attempts by the manager to appease Tara by offering complimentary items, she continued to cause a scene and even going up to other diners to tell them how bad the buffet was while they were enjoying it. Ultimately, the manager had to intervene and ask Tara to leave, as her disruptive behavior persisted despite multiple warnings.
I personally enjoyed all the food from the buffet especially the lamb, it was so tender, juicy and fall off the bone.
We entered to the restaurant that was empty. Maybe two other parties were present max, already with their food. We asked if they had room for 12 and they said yes and were able to sit us down. They only had one waitress, which we understood, but then more people kept coming in and they kept receiving their orders while we weren't. Male staff (the chef & the tall guy, I'm assuming the manager?) were rude. The waitress that helped us was actually nice. An hour passed , nothing was brought to us yet other than beverages. We mentioned that we were still waiting on the food, and as our orders were coming out they were wrong and still missed a lot of plates. It has now been one hour and a half and I still have not received my plate. I had asked the manager if they could remove some plates, and he said to give him a minute.... 15 minutes passed and I still had all the plates that were on the way and not allowing our guests to eat comfortably. At this point, I stood up to drop off the plates and the manager said "you all have be patient since you didn't come with a reservation" . I wasn't complaining, but that's when he upset me because he was giving an attitude for no reason.
UPDATE: the lady, I'm assuming the owner or also co manager? Just came to complain to us at the table saying we are coming to THEIR house & they accommodating and that we're the ones being rude because we are "too much". She was raising her voice and interrupting to my colleague & I (we're teachers taking our girls to field trip).
My group of students is muslim and so is my colleague. I've known and taught them for over 5 years. I'm hispanic, I'm the only non-muslim member of my educational club , and she kept saying ... "I'm being nice and accommodating because these are "MY PEOPLE" she proceeds to point at them, and says that no other restaurant would do this for anyone. At this point she starts comparing this restaurant to an American restaurant, and I just knew it wasn't about the service anymore. I knew they were just excluding me & because I'm not part of their community. A community whom I've grown close to and fond of because of my students and colleagues (I work for a school predominantly arab/muslim)
Needless to say, the manager never came back. The lady only started talking to my students in their native language ... My students were in shock... and she started telling them that she loves them because they are "her people" and did not come back to apologize.
Coffee was actually good though.
Unbelievable!!!! So amazing! We were lucky enough to experience the restaurant during Ramadan and they had a buffet. You won't be disappointed. Very friendly staff.
