Welcome to Mazra, our cozy Mediterranean hangout right here in the Bay Area.

We’re the Makableh brothers, Jordan and Saif, and we’ve brought a piece of our heart from Amman, Jordan, to share with you.

This whole adventure is a family affair, deeply rooted in our love and respect for where we come from.

We’re here to dish out some vibrant Levantine flavors and wrap you up in the warm, welcoming vibes of Mediterranean hospitality.

Our culinary journey kicked off in 2012 when Saif dove headfirst into the world of food, fueled by a passion that’s been simmering in our family for generations.

Thanks to the secret recipes and tricks from our mom, grandmas, and dad, and a significant stint in Sydney, Australia (Little Beirut), Saif’s self-taught skills took on a life of their own.

Armed with this rich heritage and a personal twist, he came back to the Bay Area, ready to spice things up with an authentic Levantine dining experience.

When Jordan jumped on board, we pitched this crazy idea to our dad, who had been running the beloved Green Valley Market since 2005.

Rather than saying goodbye to the market, we envisioned transforming it into a vibrant Mediterranean restaurant that would celebrate the diverse flavors and techniques of the Levant.

Dad gave us his blessing, and just like that, Mazra was born.

Mazra, meaning “farm” in Arabic, embodies our vision of a place where the freshness and bounty of the land are celebrated, mirroring the rich agricultural heritage of the Levant region.

Our passion for our cultural heritage shines through everything we do.

Mazra is our little corner where life slows down & the food speaks of journeys.

We, Saif, Jordan, and our entire family, are committed to giving you an unforgettable experience, blending exceptional food, warm hospitality, and a dash of Levantine magic to make your visit memorable.

“Where borders dissolve, wood turns to ember and the taste of the Levant comes alive”

What an eatery!!! Was in the area with family, got done with a hike nearby and was looking for place to eat a good lunch. I scrolled through the collection that I had saved on Yelp for best places to eat and this came up. And it really turned out to be true. Reached there around 1:30 pm and the place was bustling with people with a long line waiting to order food. I think we stood in line for 25-30 minutes to place our order and get a number to get a table. In around 10 minutes our number was called and we got the table. Food took another 5-8 minutes. For vegetarians, apart from falafel, oyster mushroom is an awesome alternative to choose from. It tasted great in the wrap. Beet salad was not very special. Was a little disappointed for ordering that. Wrap and the sampler are a must though. Will go back for more. Great relaxing vibe inside.

We came here at night and the ambiance is frankly dreamy. A short drive from the airport makes it an ideal stop at any time. The overall feel and energy of the place is delightful. The ordering process is quick and efficient while still feeling personable. The only thing better than all of that is the food! Not a bad thing on the menu, would recommend it all!

Hidden gem in San Bruno. Kinda out of the way to be honest, but well worth the trip. The food is delicious and comes in pretty large portions. The place was packed when I got there, but the line moves very fast and they have a system so you can get a table without too much wait. Good experience overall

I can't say enough about this place. There was a line out the door but it's covered and had heaters. The line moves fast. This restaurant works like a well oiled machine! The food was so good! The best I've ever had! I've traveled to Turkey so that says a lot. Prices are reasonable. The best baklava EVER! This PLACE is a MUST!

Mazra was an amazing dining experience! While parking was initially difficult due to the popularity of the restaurant, street parking was quickly found. Having known one of the owners, we had the best customer service where we were recommended exactly what to order. While waiting for the food, we sipped on some delicious raspberry lemonade and enjoyed the lively environment and pretty interior. The food was delicious with so many flavorful traditional plates. This is a must try restaurant with such tasty food and solid service. Thanks Jordan!
