My first review in the new year, 2024! I had my first meal of 2024 here. They were open thankfully 5-9 PM for dinner on New Year's Day. The restaurant is probably like an old warehouse. The railway was just behind the restaurant, so you can hear loud noises every time a train passes by. They had a row of parking spots reserved for customers just outside the entrance. There was also a lot of free street parking. They had restrooms past the kitchen, but the restrooms were pretty dirty. One of them had a creepy doll portrait above the toilet. They had string lights and heaters on, so it was pretty inside. They also had a separate section where the bar was. I ordered the cocktail called What's Good Here. Our waitress explained (more like warned us about) the little flower thing that came with the drink. It was a like a pepper that gives you a numbing feeling. We got an extra one for $1 so my eating partner and I could both try it. It was interesting to try for the first time, but I wouldn't do it again. I didn't particularly enjoy the feeling. Avocado hummus $16 - I wanted some pita and hummus to start, but this avocado didn't quite satisfy my craving. The pita was 1000% amazing though. I highly recommend getting it. It smelled and tasted like peanuts. Cleopatra $18 - I wouldn't get this again just because the entree I got also had butter leaf lettuce. They put too much vinaigrette for my taste. It's a layered salad, so each leaf had lots of dressing. The last one had way too much. Duck $85 - this was a dinner special that was not on the menu. It was served with butter leaf lettuce, some fresh herbs, and some sauces. The duck was amazing, something I'd get again. They clearly didn't wash the lettuce because I found bugs. The waitress replaced them and that was it. It's too bad this happened. I hope it's not a regular thing for them to skip corners. Banana caramel tiramisu $16 - I only got this because the warm apple cake was not available. It did not taste like alcohol and was not overly sweet. They probably could have made it look better by adding a mint leaf. It just looked like they cut a slice and slabbed it on the plate.

Momed is a great place for large family dinner - tonight had a special menu for the holidays and the whole roasted duck was very memorable. Broccolini was one of the bests I’ve tried recently. Great ambiance, great food.

Happiness is . . . crispy cauliflower with yuzu kosho honey and parmesan. English peas hummus, feta, mint and za’atar tostada. Momo chips, thyme, garlic aioli. Husband demolished the pork belly “chicharron” lime, cilantro. And the grilled chicken wings, aleppo lime salt. And the beef shish, salsa matcha, feta, sumac onions, lavash. Paired with a cadillac margarita and hot mint tea & pine nuts. Tis the new, extremely-wallet-friendly "Happy Hour at Momed". You know where to find us at 5.30pm mid week .... 🏼💥🤸✨ .

Fun restaurant and bar. Creative food choices and cocktails. I'm a pescatarian and had plenty of choices, as did my meat eating companions. I had the Sword Fish Shish (skewered chunks of meat) with potatoes and vegetables that was delicious! I also tried the mushroom manti (pasta) that was delightfully spicy/flavorful. They had three desserts that were hard to choose from. We had tahini cheesecake. So yummy and creamy! It was difficult to choose from the diverse and unusual cocktail menu but we loved everything we got. The Neptune cocktail seemed to be popular and we found out why. Tasty and fun! The service from the hosts to the servers to the bussers were all friendly and attentive.

Had an AMAZING experience. As someone who is Persian and gone to more Mediterranean food places than probably the average person - they can often suffer from a lack of perspective. Momed knows who they are as a restaurant. You can find authentic Persian dishes, newly inspired takes on classics and so much more. The service and atheistic adds to a wonderful evening out. The price is worth the experience and incredible flavors. Will be coming back.
