Phoenicia Restaurant

My daughter and I visited Phoenicia last Saturday night to celebrate her birthday. I chose this restaurant because I have been to Lebanon and absolutely LOVE the food and people!! We were not disappointed with the food - extensive menu, excellent presentation and value. We ordered the Mezze platter for two. We were seated inside and we were the only ones inside this very large dining venue (esp. for a Saturday night - but it may be because we arrived early). I would have tasted this restaurant 5/5 except for the lack of attentive service. After we were seated, we were forgotten about for a good while and even after our first platter was served, we tried and tried to attract the male waiter's attention to ask him if he could take our photo but we were ignored again.

I’m not typically one to write reviews or give low ratings to businesses, but my recent dining experience at this restaurant compelled me to share my thoughts. The service and food were both acceptable, and the atmosphere was pleasant. However, when the bill arrived, I was taken aback. For a party of three, the total was around $183, which is also acceptable and that’s not the surprise. The real surprise, though, was the additional 33% service fee tacked on top. I’ve never encountered such a high service charge for just three people, and it left me questioning how and why?!

We LOVE Phoenicia!! My dear Armenian friends have introduced to this place and we've been several times since that introduction. Our varsity basketball program holds their banquets there and what a fabulous meal..one of my very favorites. I couldn't even tell you which dish is my fav. Absolutely elegant with attentive service. I highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing food, no questions about it. The service was friendly and fast. It could be the coldest day, and you would still not be cold. The restaurant has so many heaters all over the place. The appetizers are enough portions to be shared with 4 to 5 people on the table. Food was so delicious, perfectly seasoned on every dish. The restaurant usually has live music on the Friday and Saturday nights. Inside seating is always available, and you can smoke hookah as well. Whenever we have gone, there was no need to call to rsvp. table has always been available.
