SAJJ Mediterranean (SJ Market Center)

Burned stale chicken served on tuesday afternoon lunch time. Seems like it was leftover chicken from day before. Yuck. Since it was delivery, i could not ask for replacement. This place is not as well run compared to other location like sunnyvale. I hope the management address the poor quality of food coming out of this place as this is not the first time i had issue with this location.

I was wowed at SAJJ! The food flavor, the AMOUNT of food they give you, and the variety of sides available are amazing and delicious! I get my daily veggie intake thanks to them. The price is reasonable for what you get. The staff are happy to add extra when asked. The place looks clean. The flavor of everything is AMAZING. You won’t regret it! (Don’t forget to ask for extra cilantro sauce!)

I haven’t seen a Mediterranean place with these many vegetarian options( falafel,avacado, lentil soup ,beets, egg plant, hummus, veggies, cauliflower etc). Their veggies are super fresh and the food tasted great with garlic spread , tzatziki and tahini sauce topping! One of the best restaurants in SJ market center and must try!

I went in there for a quick meal on a day I was working remotely and for a change of scenery. I ordered a chicken shawafel and there bowls are just so wholesome. The staff at Sajj are great and are very observant, hospitable and maintain the place very neat and clean. I could see that they were busy with their jobs throughout even when there were not many people in the restaurant dining in on a weekday late afternoon. My only complain is I was served uncooked falafel in my bowl. The centre was raw and cold. I pointed it to them, they were nice to make another batch that was just as undercooked. I wanted them to know it was bad and mentioned I wouldn’t want a replacement. The staff was nice enough to try another batch just to ensure I left satisfied. It was just a little more cooked but still undercooked but I would give full points for the effort! After this undercooked falafel incident I would probably not visit Sajj as often as I did before, but the staff won my heart!

Staff greeted us and explained this first-timer how things work. My salad was so delicious. I had the pomegranate chicken salad with all the fixings. I added the garlic mayo sauce but it needed more garlic. Lentil soup comes with meals.. lovely flavorful addition. Side of falafel is made fresh and was very good and not over fried. Definitely great for two people. I will definitely come back. Atmosphere is clean and bright.
