The Halal Guys’ incredible journey begins in 1990 with our three Egyptian founders. They first started a hot dog cart in New York City, then pivoted to selling halal food to Muslim taxi drivers who at the time had few outlets for authentic halal food in the five boroughs. Thus, our famous platters of chicken and gyro over rice, falafel sandwiches, and crave-able sauces were born.
Word spread about the unique American Halal Food we offer, and our fanbase quickly expanded beyond Muslim cabbies to a much larger, diverse demographic of Americans eager to experience new and exotic tastes, textures, and flavors.

a week agoWe finally got to try this place with legendary roots in New York. The food, service, and atmosphere were all pretty good. We had the small combo plate with rice, vegetables and choices of proteins. It was a delicious and balanced lunch. We have a young puppy so we appreciate the outdoor seating area. Parking: There are plenty of free parking at this large shopping center.

11 months agoI had medium platter with Rice, Slow Cooked Lamb, Cilantro, Onions, Parsley and In-house hot sauce. It was filled with butter and the flavour is amazing.

2 months agoThis is one of my weekly lunch "Go to's". Always fresh and delicious. The service is top notch and the crew is super friendly! Used to get the gyros and now get the plate with beef. Love that white sauce on top but careful with the hot sauce... It's hot!! I love spice so I mix the hot sauce together with the white sauce on the container lid before adding it to the food for a consistent heat distribution.

10 months agoThe "limited edition" lamb is pretty much fat covered in thick spice. Should have gotten all gyro instead. Restaurant smelled really musty inside. They young ladies working the counter were very polite. I usually don't get the chicken cause they leave the skin on sometimes. Lots of parking on the plus side.

a year agoIf you want to eat light, this is a good option. They don't have salads on the menu but I ordered a chicken bowl with no rice but extra lettuce instead. ($14!!!) after finishing it I felt very well without the feeling of fullness in my stomach. The taste of the chicken is almost null so I can't say much. I don’t recommend this place if you love Mediterranean food like me because the taste is far from a good Mediterranean food. For a quick light lunch is ok.
