The Lava Grille Northville

This restaurant was incredible! The food and customer service is simply outstanding! Ahmed was our server and exceeded our expectations. He was very knowledgeable and offered a variety of suggestions and went over and beyond and was very attentive . This restaurant should give him a raise! He is truly a gem. We will be back again!! It’s my favorite new restaurant. Just look at the picture . The food was fresh and tasty.

We arrived around 7:00 on a Friday night. The restaurant was very empty. The service was very inconsistent. The waiter forgot to deliver drinks and disappeared for long periods. We ordered the platter and the food was good, however, they did not bring out everything that was supposed to be on it. We had to ask them to deliver everything.

The food was really good. The main issue was that we were a large group (9) and our food came out at very different times. My entree salad came out with the appetizers. Then 1/2 the food came out and it was almost 10 minutes before the last 3 people got their food. Generous portions and very fresh salad.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Lava Grille, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance transported us straight to the Mediterranean coast. The decor is warm and inviting, with a touch of elegance that sets the perfect tone for a memorable evening. But what truly made our visit special was the impeccable service, especially from Ahmad. From the moment he greeted us, Ahmad was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the dishes he served. He guided us through the menu, making excellent recommendations, and even shared a bit of the story behind some of the traditional recipes. As for the food—it was simply divine. Every dish was bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors that showcased the best of Mediterranean cuisine. The lamb kebabs were tender and perfectly seasoned, the hummus was creamy and rich, and the seafood paella was a highlight, packed with a medley of fresh seafood that was cooked to perfection. Overall, The Lava Grille is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates authentic Mediterranean food and top-notch service. Ahmad and the entire team made our night special, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommended!

Food was good and our sever was nice. We got a chicken kabob and beef tenderloin kabob and both dishes were tasty. The spicy shrimp app wasn’t that good and the tabouli was ok. We also got hummus and fattoush and those were good. The best was the spicy potatoes, they are a must get. The reason for 2 stars and not more was they forgot one of our dishes. When we asked for it the severe said it was coming. By the time it came all of us where done eating and it was awkward, ruined the dinner so I don’t know if we’ll be going back.
