A pediatric hospitalist in-training with a passion in global health and medical education.
Currently, I am a Pediatric Hospital Medicine fellow at Nicklaus Children’s (previously Miami Children’s) Hospital. I finished my pediatric residency training at Stanford University with a Global Health Scholarly Concentration project on creating a clinical score for triaging sick newborns admitted to low-resource hospitals in Ethiopia. While I grew up in Egypt, most of my education took place in sunny California, where I completed my bachelor’s degree at the University of California, Berkeley, my master’s degree in global health at the University of California, San Francisco and my medical degree at the University of California, Riverside.
