4 months agoI grew up in Camarillo, CA and knew students at Cal State Northridge in the 1990s. So I've been enjoying Falafel Palace for almost 30 years! This year I finally met a retirement age man there that is seen the Restaurant photo from 1970s. Its him and his young family! What a great encounter and another great gyro meal.

a month agoFalafel Palace has been here for 52 years. Same family ownership. Gina is a wonderful person. She greets you with sincerity and guides you through the menu if you have questions. Pride in ownership is evident. I used to go here years ago. We finally made time to revisit. The food was wonderful. I had the lamb gyro with double meat (my favorite). Tender, seasoned just right. Tzatziki and spicy sauce onside. Mom had the falafel in pita. It was huge! She enjoyed it so much that she couldn't put it down. My wife had chicken shawarma. Again seasoned just right and tender. Humus, awesome. We were so stuffed. Had to take a baklava home for later. I suggest stopping by and taking a break from your burger routine. It is great to support a local family run business.

a year agoI came here for lunch on a weekday. Food was very satisfying. I wasn’t overly impressed but to be fair, it was good and I’d say that it’s worth giving it a try and another visit to satisfy a gyro craving.
