Falafel Palace

Falafel Palace is such a great find! The ingredients are always fresh and you can tell everything from the hummus, to the tzatziki and garlic sauce are all made from scratch. I drive from simi whenever I’m in the mood for Mediterranean food and I’m never disappointed. I forgot to get a picture but don’t miss the baklava!

I ordered the gyros some grape leaves and rice the gyros were absolutely excellent because of the freshness of the pita bread. The grape leaves were flavorful and delicious in the rice well the rice is rice.

Falafel Palace has been here for 52 years. Same family ownership. Gina is a wonderful person. She greets you with sincerity and guides you through the menu if you have questions. Pride in ownership is evident. I used to go here years ago. We finally made time to revisit. The food was wonderful. I had the lamb gyro with double meat (my favorite). Tender, seasoned just right. Tzatziki and spicy sauce onside. Mom had the falafel in pita. It was huge! She enjoyed it so much that she couldn't put it down. My wife had chicken shawarma. Again seasoned just right and tender. Humus, awesome. We were so stuffed. Had to take a baklava home for later. I suggest stopping by and taking a break from your burger routine. It is great to support a local family run business.

I came here for lunch on a weekday. Food was very satisfying. I wasn’t overly impressed but to be fair, it was good and I’d say that it’s worth giving it a try and another visit to satisfy a gyro craving.
